Hello, I'm interested in the isolation requirement for telcom connections and in particular modem isolations.
Several year ago in some EU countries to get a modem for your computer you went through the Telcom Authorities and they would make sure your computer had acceptable isolation built into it before installing the modem. If you computer didn't have the proper isolation you didn't get the modem. With the implementation of the Telcom Directive what is the status in the EU? Do some countries still require isolation to be built into the computer? Do most modem manufacturer' build the isolation into the card? Thanks in advance, Donald A. Hanson Mgr.
