Hey Judd,

Some thoughts based on my experience in installing a 3 meter pre-compliance
site.

For pre-scans, no. If you want to maintain that 100 dB SE you probally will
have to check it. People get away with all kinds of "poorly performing" shield
rooms because you only need about 40dB to knock down the ambient (assuming you
are not next to a big xmittr) If you ever plan to do SE testing and you want
data with a "good" dynamic range you will find leaky doors and loose hardware a
regular problem.

Are you installing any absorber? If not, well, I think your repeatabilty would
be a problem. Assuming you are putting up absorber, a rule of thumb is that
the tips of the antenna should be at least 1 meter from the absorber. The
antenna should be 3 meters fromthe DUT.

Table is 0.8 meters high and has a 1.5 meter x 1 meter surface. In principle
it should be free of nails, screws and should be as RF transparent as possible.
You probally should not use an old desk as a minimum.

Again, it depends on what your doing. Just prescans, you probally don't need
it. If you want to do mad scientist experiments, it is invaluable. Seriously,
any time you want to isolate some support equipment to see what this one piece
of the system is doing you will be glad to have that partition.
