Several years ago we combined panels from two enclosures to build a 24' x 16' x 10' high shielded enclosure. Working with Ray Proof we converted this enclosure into a fully compliant 1000-4-3 test chamber. Field uniformity is good with several frequencies having only 12 of the 16 points in the -0 to +6 dB range. Anechoic material consists of base loaded 24" Ray Proof cones on all walls and ceiling and a 2m x 3m ferrite grid placed on the floor between the Tx antenna and UUT/uniform plane. Note that the cones are not standard RF absorber material but are optimized for low frequency performance. I believe that they were spec'ed at 6dB absorption at 100 MHz. Hope this helps. I consider this solution to be close to minimum cost for a compliant chamber, but am curious as to other solutions.
