Having gone through this some time ago with a safety agency and a corporate liability lawyer, I think this is one of those areas where common sense (and I mean absolutely no disrespect) should be the over-riding motivation, i.e. the above manuals should be in the language of the END USER. Every so often a search for something in black-and-white over-rides what our real prupose is - user safety. I've been there myself and I'm not stating some gross infraction here, but I too have been caught up in the "where is it stated" game sometimes and a little reflection saves alot of the 20-20 hindsight as in "we shoulda done this..." Having had the experience of equipment at a former company being sold to a British distributer who sold to a customer in France whose technician was an Arab speaking gentleman that couldn't understand if the laser was ON because looking down the fiber with his bare eye he didn't see any light, my *suggestion* is - follow the end-user. All the regulations could not have helped with that one. Or if you are working through a distributer, make them contractually obligated for having the manuals in the language of their customers. > > Product labels?
