Hi Robert, 

Personally, I prefer 3m testing to look for low frequency 
near field effects. 30 MHz near field begins to taper off 
at around 1.5 meters. But, that's strictly my own preference. 
I've had people tell me they prefer 10m testing because near 
field effects messed up their 3m testing - they failed at 3m, 
but passed at 10m. 

Last I knew for CISPR 22B, 3m or 10m was your choice.
