Hungary is in the process of implementing the EMC Directive. Currently there are mandatory certification requirements on electrical and electronic equipment before they are allowed onto the Hungarian market. Standards follow IEC/CENELEC. The responsible authorities are: Ministry of Trade and Industry, Telephone +361 118 5044 Ministry for Telecommunication, Telephone +361 461 3390 Information on the EMC laws and standards in the EU, and some other countries around the world can be found in "The EMC '97 Reference Handbook and Directory", just published by Nutwood UK. Take a look at their web site at http://www.emc-journal.co.uk Best wishes Brian Jones
