>Please! What is the difference between 89/336/EEC VS >89/336/EWG? EWG??
>The other is 73/23/EEC VS 73/23/EWG. >What does the EWG identify? I checked a couple of sites and got no >easy answers. Does it have something to do with German language >acronyms? Yes indeed! EEC stands for European Economic Community (or so) whereas EWG stands for "Europaeische Wirtschafts Gemeinschaft" in German (ae = d). The Directives are the same. In the meantime "Europe" has become "European Union" (EU) in English and "Europaeische Gemeinschaft" (EG) in German but I am not sure whether the new acronyms are used for the newly born Directives.
