Yes indeed!

EEC stands for European Economic Community (or so) whereas
EWG stands for "Europaeische Wirtschafts Gemeinschaft" in German (ae = d).

The Directives are the same.

In the meantime "Europe" has become "European Union" (EU) in English and
"Europaeische Gemeinschaft" (EG) in German but I am not sure whether the new
acronyms are used for the newly born Directives. To this end check
