Thanks, In responce to the responces though;
Even though I have a copy of EN 61326-1 April 1997 (not an IEC version) I dont believe it yet supercedes 82-1 (should that have been applicable) because it appearantly has not yet been published in the OJ. As for the emissions, it really is not clear. After reading this version I can only conclude that there is no conclusion for minimum requirements for emissions. I believe that in its current state one could actually side-step emissions legally. Why point out minimum requirements for immunity in so much detail and then turn around with what appears to be a side issue on emissions. I can't be the only one that is disturbed by the layout here. 3-3 and 3-2 are also not listed as required in the standard. Country exemptions only confuse the matter further. USA is not an issue here so I can only assume the standard was prematurely published as an EN. As I understand it no one country in the union can accept or deny, as an individual, harmonized criteria. Thanks to those for the amendments info. The appearant new DOW was interesting but not surprising. Again, the version I have is not IEC or prEN. It is actually an EN (not meaning much without being published......) Thanks again, its been interesting as always Jason L. Chesley Business Services Group Manager EMC Technology Services, Inc. UL --------- This message is coming from the emc-pstc discussion list.
