What is the best practice for shipping products to Europe such as data cables, gender reversers, passive data splitters and such? These are products that generally do not carry documentation or specific labels. Although these are all passive components, I assume the issue is getting through customs. How do customs officials make that determination?
To add to the question, the same crate/shipping carton could contain a number of additional ITE products that do contain active electronics and are CE marked, along with appropriate documentation. Since this crate will contain a mixed bag of products, would it be inappropriate to indicate CE compliance on the outside of the carton to ease the customs process? Thanks for any input. -mike --------- This message is coming from the emc-pstc discussion list.
