Can anybody tell me what is the correct lamp colour for Illuminated Mains Switches, the type of thing you see on a PC, or a washing machine, or a TV - whatever?. Usually a rocker switch with an integral neon indicator. PC switches tend to be green. Washing machines and kettle switches are often red. I find it a bit confusing trying to reconcile a switch lamp colour with the need to use 'red for alarm', and 'green for safe'. Is this written down anywhere?
