Dear All,

We have a customer with an equipment with interconnecting
coaxial type cable carrying 5kV supplied from the secondary of a
Recognized high voltage power supply.

1. Is anyone familiar with a 5kV UL/CSA Listed/Certified coaxial
type cable?

2. Is anyone familiar with a 5kV European Approved coaxial type
cable?

3. If no such cable exists, does anyone see a problem with North
American and European Approvals for an equipment employing non-
Approved interconnecting coaxial cable carrying 5kV?

4. What are some US and European cable types (other than
coaxial type) which would be acceptable for an interconnecting 5kV
secondary circuit? Also, the connnection at the equipment end is
detachable; are there Listed 5kV rated connectors available one
part which would fit the cable and the other part which would fit the
equipment?

Best Regards and Happy and Safe Holidays to All Fellow PSTC
