Hi Listmembers! I recently came across a Lineman's Web site which has a series of three pictures showing the near electrocution of a man who climbed a power pole topped with a 16.6KV 3 phase power bus. I think the content is reasonably on-topic for our group, considering the implications of shock hazard and safety.
I'll warn you that the graphics are, well, shocking. But an engineer's eye is also drawn to the associated effects; the arc paths, the deflection of the conductors carrying the fault current, and the destruction of the structures. Again, be warned that these are emotionally powerful images, located at: http://members.tripod.com/~StormTrooper_2/index2.htm Regards (with a slight shivver) Ed -------------------------- Ed Price [email protected] Electromagnetic Compatibility Lab Cubic Defense Systems San Diego, CA.
