I would like to make an addition to my previous message. I am trying to determine whether or not the tests that have been performed by the board shop we use would be viewed as acceptable, they have used IPC-SM-840C and Bellcore TR-NWT-000078 to test their solder mask (protective coating). Similar tests levels/durations to that detailed in EN61131-2 are used but they are not identical.
apologies for making you read this message twice Jeff Bailey SST > -----Original Message----- > > > Greetings, > > Does anyone have experience with the protective coating test in > EN61131-2 clause 6.3.5.5.7 it notes that alternative tests are under > consideration, has anyone heard of any other tests?
