Jeff, Testing AC lines will prove whether your card can withstand whatever EFT can pass through the power supply filtering, but just as important,EFT is as much a radiated immunity test as it is a conducted test. Often I/O cables and others act as pickup antennas, and you should consider the possibility of your AC cord acting like a transmit antenna.
