Factory Mutual Research Corporation (FM) has two position openings for Product Safety Engineers in the Approvals Section handling Certification of Hazardous (Classified) Location electrical equipment. The major portion of the Section activity is dealing with the protection concept of Intrinsic Safety as defined by the National Electrical Code in Articles 500, 504, & 505. A background on process measurement and control equipment or electrical safety is desirable. The work is done in our Norwood, MA, laboratories and at client facilities. Travel time will average 10%, principally in North America. These are exempt positions and the starting salary depends on the selected individual's experience and qualifications.
