Chris, both the LVD and the EMCD were transposed into Czech law in 1997 (## 22/1997, 168/1997, 169/1997, 170/1997) and a marking was established (179/1997) that is based on the CE marking but shows the letters CCZ. I was told that this marking is not mandatory (needs to be verified) but test reports / technical files must be stored on Czech Republic soil a declaration of conformity (to CSN standards) must be signed by a Czech resident; declarations established for the EU can be referenced in this document the instruction manual (in Czech) must include a prescribed wording (which I am waiting for).
Regards, Rolf Schaefer "James, Chris" <[email protected]> on 23.04.98 16:49:04 Please respond to "James, Chris" <[email protected]> To: "'EMC-PSTC'" <[email protected]> cc: (bcc: Rolf Schaefer/IS/DE/Unisys) Subject: Czech EMC and LVD compliance requirements Can anyone clarify please what the Czech EMC and LVD compliance requirements are. Is the CE mark recognised as per European countries (supported with a declaration of conformity)? Or is further documentation required?
