For your info: > Council Directive 80/181 (and the amendments 85/1 and 89/617) "on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to units of measurement and on the repeal of Directive 71/354/EEC" (as amended) does indeed provide for phasing out of "supplementary units" (i.e. units other than those of the "international system of units" or "SI") by December 31, 1999 in Article 3 (2). <
