I trashed my variuos comments about Spira gasketing, so I can't just send you a
copy. But, basically, Spira is the name of a company run by George Kunkel out
of North Hollywood, CA. George has been making variations on his fundamental
gasket design for about 25 years.

The Spira design is a helically wound, thin BeCu strip. The helix may be over
air, solid neoprene, teflon, whatever. Various diameter helixes available. Must
see the catalog and get a few samples. Call George at 818-764-8222 for design
guide, catalog & freebies. No net site thst I know of.

I generally like the stuff. Mounting sometimes takes a bit of thought.
Electrical performance is equal or better than classic fingerstock, plus it is
usually more mechanically robust and safer.

Many other vendors of fingerstock. Top ones are:

Tecknit 908-272-5500 www.tecknit.com

Omega 201-890-7455 ?
ech Etch 508-747-0300 ?
