---------------End of Original Message----------------- The customer's aversion to traditional BeCu fingerstock may be due to a worry about catching the free side of the fingerstock on fingers or shirt sleeves, thus creating a wound hazard, degraded shielding and a need for maintenance. There is a style of BeCu fingerstock that addresses this problem. Check out Spira Engineering's Spira gaskets. In this design, a continuous BeCu ribbon is wrapped in a helix around various tubular support cores. Several mounting methods are available. This design compares very favorably to the traditional fingerstock.
