although 'basic' is the operative word. I will be updating this in the next few weeks (other commitments permitting!) Key thing you need to know are: *it doesn't come into force until the end of November this year so you can't CE mark under it until then; * conformity assessment is based on a categorisation system which starts with self certification at its simplest and goes right through to fully accredited production control with design verification; * categorisation of vessels (etc.) is based on the operational pressure, the volume and the type of fluid contained. It's among the most complex of all the CE mark directives and you will need to obtain a copy of the full text, including the categorisation charts, to be able to make any sense of it. There are currently no harmonised standards (which is not to say there are no relevant standards).
