Job Description: Work with hardware design team, PCB layout group, and documentation group to design, test and qualify Cisco products to meet world wide safety regulations. Work with Corporate Compliance group to maintain product safety approvals. Interface with safety agencies for obtaining the following safety approvals and/or reports: UL, C-UL, CSA, CSA-NRTL, TUV, CB and ACA (formerly AUSTEL). Obtain or qualify for '''self-certification''' agreements. Skills Required: BSEE or equivalent. 4-5 years experience in product safety with emphasis on telecommunications requirements. Very good verbal and written communication skills. Good team work and flexibility in cross-functional team environment. Able to generate and track project schedule, dependencies, and risks. Must have in depth understanding of the requirements in and conduct the tests in UL 1950/CSA 950, Third Edition; EN 60950 with Amendments 1, 2, 3 and 4; IEC 950, Second Edition, Amendments 1, 2, 3 and 4; AS/NZS 3260 and TS001.
