Hi, We are currently selling speaker system unit in Europe market. The speaker system consists of a main unit which is the subwoofer and five satelite speakers. The satelite speaker is just a passive device. We have the complete speaker unit tested and compliance to EMC and LVD Directive.
Now our design team has made satelite speaker stand. Having the speaker supported enhance it sound quality. These stand has three leg, made of purely plastic material. It caters for the wires, from the subwoofer to the satelite speaker, to be laid within. We will be putting these stand out for sales (thru retail & website) to existing custom who had purchase our speaker system. I think my questions is a bit silly. Is CE mark required for sales of this plastic stand? Is there any directive that this plastic stand falls under? Are there directive which requires the plastic material or the structure/shape to be of certain type? Your advice is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
