I think this depends on the application (we are talking rooms here, aren't we?). There is an old standard for attenuation measurements of shielded rooms, but off hand I can't remember what the specification title or reference number was. It's too long since I left the test lab environment and went to product approval within an R&D environment. I know that for anechoic rooms the EN spec. for testing shield attenuation is BS EN 50147-1:1997 (Anechoic chambers. Shield attenuation measurement). Or if we aren't talking rooms, and you mean enclosure/racks etc. then possibly try, IEC/TS 61587-3 (1999-10) Mechanical structures for electronic equipment - Tests for IEC 60917 and IEC 60297 - Part 3: Electromagnetic shielding performance tests for cabinets, racks and subracks This specifies the test of empty cabinets and subracks concerning electromagnetic shielding performance, in the frequency range of 30 MHz to 1 000 MHz.
