Dan and all others who responded. Thank you.
I have been digging around this week-end and got some data that
suggests that February may be the magical date. Apparently, the MRA with
Taiwan covers Telecommunications already but not EMC. There has been
agreement at the governmental level above BCIQ to include EMC under
telecommunications. I think that is what you referencing. I'm not sure of
the exact meeting participants but this is suppose to be worked out in a
meeting in February, but I've heard that before.
I hadn't been aware of it but it Taiwan apparently has us at a
disadvantage. Even though the MRA's were suppose to be on a "we accept your
data from accredited labs and we will accept yours" it appears that Tawiwan
use approved labs in Taiwan for entry into the US, but we cannot as this
date.
FCC and trade regulators where are you??????
For our European friends I think you had this problem with us but it
has been resolved. Correct?
        Thanks
        Gary

The FCC issued a Report and Order (98-338) announcing a MRA
with the EC and
APEC on December 23. We should expect to see a number of
labs become
"certified" shortly, allowing them to provide a broad array
of international
testing services. I presume that Taiwan is part of APEC.
