Microsoft has built its reputation for technological expertise in hardware
by developing and launching a series of very successful, category-leading
devices.  We are looking for a dynamic Compliance Engineer to oversee the
EMC, safety and regulatory compliance of new PC input/output devices.
Duties include (a) partnering with Development Engineers (EE, ME) at the
early phases of the development cycle in order to assist in design for
regulatory, EMC and safety requirements; (b) developing a compliance plan;
(c) owning the compliance plan from beginning to end of the product
development cycle; (d) working with the Compliance Manager to: develop
design guidelines, review check-lists, test procedures, etc.

Looking for a highly motivated individual with strong technical foundation,
project management and communication skills.  A BS degree in EE or physics
with at least 3 years experience in Information Technology Equipment
EMC/Safety/Regulatory field with design or design assurance/test focus is
necessary.  NARTE EMC certification, fluency in IEC/FCC/EN standards and
international regulation will be a plus.
