Hi Sandy I would recoment that you take worst case testing from EN 50024 and EN 50082-2. Before EN 50024 many did the same with EN 50082-1 because in EU the difference between industrial and light industial depends on the mains installation at the costumer which you normally can't controll or know.
Best regards, Kim Boll Jensen i-data international, Denmark "Sandy Mazzola" <[email protected]> on 99-12-01 23:25:32 Please respond to "Sandy Mazzola" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] cc: (bcc: Kim Boll Jensen/INT) Subject: Question about EN55024 To All, EN 55024 (Immunity Characteristics-Information Technology Equipment- Product Specific) does not address industrial/Heavy industrial ITE equipment. All of the levels for the most part match the levels of EN50082-1 (Generic Immunity -Light Industrial). Is EN 55024 a license to release any and all ITE equipment to the formerly light industrial levels? I would appreciate any opinions as to how to specify/release industrial/heavy industrial ITE.
