Good Morning Ray! EN 1012-1 is only for a specific portion of the pneumatic system--the compressor or the vacuum pump. Most industrial machinery has neither a compressor or vacuum pump--instead the facility supplies a compressed air service or vaccum draw.
Hopefully if your system includes a compressor or vacuum pump it is an already approved component (to this standard)! EN 1012-1 will not give general safety requirements for the pneumatic system at large.
