Around the 14th and 15th of October 1999 there was a flurry of
information and concerns regarding exporting ITE equipment to China. I
have been watching since and have not seen many follow ups.
Does anyone have any updates regarding exporting to China. The
equipment that we are planning to export is in the ISM venue, group
1, class A.
Specifically, there are concerns regarding:
1. The Republic of China does NOT recognize CE marks.
2. Testing must be done in mainland China?
3. "NO-grandfathering"?
4. Does anyone have any pointers to CCIB documentation in English?
5. Is January 1, 2000 a drop dead date?
I am sure there are many more issues, but these should probably be
enough to bring them out of the cracks.
