Pierre If the emission is within one of the restricted bands of operation in section 15.205, your product must meet the limit of 500uV/meter as in Section 15.209. If the emission in question is not in one of the restricted bands in section 15.205, then you are allowed up to 1250uV/meter.
Example 1 Your 2nd Harmonic would be 866Mhz. It is not in one of the restricted bands so therefor you need not meet the requirements of 15.209. Just be under the 1250uV/meter limit. Example 2 Your 9th harmonic would be 3897Mhz. It is in a restricted band specified in section 15.205. Therefore you must meet the requirements of section 15.209. 500uV/meter. I hope this helps youl. Ed >>> "Pierre Selva" <[email protected]> 09/28 11:40 AM >>> Dear All, I have to perform measurments on an intentional radiators, classified in the section 15.231 of FCC part 15, subpart C. This product is a periodic transmitter. The fundamental frequency is 433 MHZ. I understand that the level limit for the fundamental is issued from the formula : (125/3)xF(Mhz) - (21250/3) = 10958µV/m at 3m. I'm not sure of the limits for the spurious frequencies : Are they 1250µV/m for the frequencies above 470MHz, as specified in 15.231, or are they 500µv/m as specified in the general limit section 15.209 ? Can somebody help me on this topic ? In advance, I thank you a lot for your collaboration, Meilleures salutations (best regards) ========================================== Pierre SELVA Laboratory responsible SMEE Actions Mesures EMC & Safety laboratory ZI des Blanchisseries Phone : 33 4 76 65 76 50 38500 VOIRON FRANCE Fax : 33 4 76 66 18 30 e-mail : [email protected] =========================================== --------- This message is coming from the emc-pstc discussion list.
