you need to calibrate the antenna, you can't trust the data sheet too far.


Stoddart 93491-1 Conical Logarithmic Spiral Antenna
Looks like a super-size ice cream cone
April 1969 (maybe as early as 1962)
1 GHz to 10 GHz
Circularly polarized (some specs require linearly polarized antennas)
Based on USAF Drawing # 62J4041
Don't put in any RF power into it (I think there is a small load resistor
right at the nose)

Beam width about 30 degrees (or so)


So, you can see that it's a high AF antenna. Useful for scanning in an
enclosure, and it is easily carried and pointed for direction finding. The
93491-2 is just a tad better, but not noticeably so.
