ADVANCED ENERGY INDUSTRIES, INC.

POSITION: Regulatory Compliance Engineer

LOCATION: Fort Collins, Colorado USA

JOB DESCRIPTION: Primary job function is product safety engineering.  Works with design engineering to ensure products meet regulatory agency requirements such as CE Mark, UL, CSA, or SEMI S2. Performs laboratory testing and documents notes of testing for verification to agencies. Manages declarations of conformity and tracks in database. Tracks RFC/ECO changes. Audits products and processes for compliance. Ensures a smooth and legally sound process for marking manufactured product and for completing declarations. Assists in marketing products by meeting with customers to understand and satisfy compliance requirements. Hosts agency audits and trains design engineers on compliance standards.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  1. BS in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. 1 - 3 plus years of design related experience, preferably in electrical power conversion.
  3. 1 - 3 plus years of product safety experience, preferably with knowledge of regulatory agencies.
  4. Excellent communication skills. Ability to present issues clearly and diplomatically. Strong presentation skills.
  5. Excellent PC skills including intermediate level word processing, spreadsheet, and database. Prefer Microsoft products.
  6. Ability to effectively prioritize workload and keep customers informed of status of projects.
