There is somewhere a HP app note on how to perform CISPR average measurements (by calculating the VBW vs frequency). It was written for the 8566/8568 analyzers Its about 15 yrs old but someone on this list should have it. I lost mine and I don't recall the exact title. What I do, is to use a VBW of 3Hz at 0 span. That seems to correlate with the 8546's built in average detector.
