In the US, there are three general classes of errors associated with T1:
     Carrier Failure - absolutely nothing is detected on the line,
     Remote Alarm - you can see the far end but it is sending a signal
indicating it can't see you,
     Alarm indication - The far end is sending a signal that there is a problem
beyond your connection that effectively renders the link useless as there is no
way to send data farther.

Customarily, the Carrier Failure alarm is red, the remote alarm is yellow and
the Alarm indication is blue.

Is anyone able to confirm the colours ?
Does any standard exist ?
Would it be possible to use red as the LED for the carrier failure alarm, since
this is about as catastrophic an error as T1 can produce?
