Colleagues, My company will shortly start using the new test regime, in particular EN 61326-1.
I wish to quantify the cost in TIME required to test for the new set of EMC standards for CE Mark. But I want to do this without actually asking you to reveal just how fast/slow your testing actually is. I only wish to have a multiplication factor that compares the new test regime (-2, -3, -4, -5, -6, -8, -11, CISPR Emissions) against the old generic/light (-2, -3, -4, CISPR Emissions). In other words: Does the new regime take you 1.5 X the old regime? 2.0 X ? More? Rough estimates will be fine - you don't need to spend a lot of effort on this survey. Send your responses directly to me ([email protected]) and please not the entire emc-pstc list. If I get any responses I'll produce a report in about a week of the total responders, minimum, average, and maximum factors. The data will be used to forecast how long it might take us to run an entire catalog worth of products through the new test regime, while at the same time keeping up with new product releases - also going through the new test regime.
