Hi Graham,

I don't mean to be sarcastic, but "Dear All" should've read "Dear All
Canadians" or "For Canadians Only". That would've prevented me/possibly others
from wasting my/their time trying to register on this site.

After entering the required information to register with this service, I was
informed that only people with Canadian adresses were able to register (only
Canadian territories are selectable and all non-Canadian postal codes produce
 an error).

If this offer is truly 'to all', then it must be available 'for all'
regardless
if you're a Canadian or not.

Just sounding off some personal opinions.

 Regards,
 Ron Pickard

Dear All,

You may be interested in the Standards Council of Canada Export Alert
Service. This is a subscribable( no charge) service for WTO/GATT notices
via e-mail
and the provision by return request of the standards/regulations that
are being proposed or passed by various countries. The Web site is
"http://www.scc.ca";, when you get there select the Export Alert Service.
. This is a pilot project of the Standards Council of Canada. Standards
that are indicated in the e-mail will be sent back as an attachment or
by fax or by mail to the requester upon returning a reply
with the standards/regulations required "x"ed.. The subscriber can
indicate his area of desired information. My understanding is that Canada
is the only WTO/GATT member who provides this level of service in this
format.

As I was the chair of the advisory committee that helped set up this and
other
on-line services of the Standards Council of Canada I am interested in
your
feedback on this service. If you do subscribe please send me an e-mail
letting
me know this as well as providing feedback on the service itself..

For those who are not aware of the Standards Council of Canada it is a
not for profit Canadian Government Corporation which is equivalent in
function to that of NIST or Standards Australia or AFNOR etc.

Regards
