What is the difference between the IEC61000-4-11 and -14 standards? Is one more stringent than the other? The descriptions from the IEC web page sound similar: ------- IEC 61000-4-11 (1994-06) Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) - Part 4: Testing and measuring techniques - Section 11: Voltage dips, short interruptions and voltage variations immunity tests This standard defines the immunity test methods and range of preferred test levels for electrical and electronic equipment connected to low voltage power supply networks for voltages dips, short interruptions, and voltage variations. It applies to electrical and electronic equipment having a rated input current not exceeding 16 A per phase. It does not apply to electrical and electronic equipment for connection to d.c. networks or 400 Hz a.c. networks. ------- IEC 61000-4-14 (1999-02) Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) - Part 4-14: Testing and measurement techniques - Voltage fluctuation immunity test Applies to electrical and/or electronic equipment that have a rated input current up to 16 A per phase. Aims to establish a reference for evaluating the immunity of electric and/or electronic equipment when subjected to positive and negative low amplitude voltage fluctuations. Only conducted phenomena are considered, including immunity tests for equipment connected to public and industrial power supply networks.
