The Work Equipment Directive 89/655/EEC (implemented in the UK by The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (SI 1998:2306) which is where the PUWER name comes from) does not mandate standards directly. However, the WED requires that workplace equipment put into service since the beginning of 1993 must comply with the requirements of any of the CE mark directives which apply to that equipment, so in practice the standards lists for each of the CE mark directives is what you are looking for.

There are some notes on this on our web site at

http://www.conformance.co.uk/CE_MARKING/puwer.html

including a link to the full text of the UK regulations which you may find helpful.

Hope that helps.

Regards

Nick.

Where can I find (.pdf) OJ list of standards used to demonstrate conformance to Provisions and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 89/655/EEC. I cannot fathom the http://europa.eu.int/eur-lex/en/oj/index-list.html
site, as many times as I've tried getting info. Please help.
