Colleagues,
Our company has been asked to quote (by tomorrow) for supplying goods
in accordance with IEC 770. We make industrial combustion monitoring equipment.
According to the scope on the IEC web site, IEC 60770 is titled:
Transmitters for use in industrial-process control systems
Part 1 methods for performance evaluation
Part 2 Guidance for inspection and routine testing.
This is not a standard that I am familiar with and we do not have a copy in the
library. As is usually the case with a tight deadline, the people here who may
be familiar with this standard are out of the office.
Is anyone out there familiar with this standard? It would appear that it is
simply concerned with documentation and test procedures etc and will not entail
any kind of product re-design or modification.
Any info or comments would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Andy.
