Good day All: My thanks to everyone who provided input to me on this question. It has been very helpful, and my colleague is now exploring various opportunities in this area.
For those who are also interested in the same type of product: aside from those postings that came through this list server I also received responses regarding the following companies who produce this type of product : Taiyo Yuden http://www.t-yuden.com/ NMB Power Systems http://www.nmb-powersystems.com/ Please note this is not an advertisement for any of the companies mentioned here or in any of the postings. We have yet not verified that any of these leads will provide us exactly what we want. But with the help of this list server and its members, at least now we have avenues to explore. One thought that has been discussed is that perhaps there are some companies that sell some sort of external box that can be connected in-line with the existing product to meet these requirements. Has anyone heard of such a thing? Does anybody actually make a power line harmonics correction box that can simply be added externally, eliminating the need for redesign of the product's internal power supply ? This would be for a unit drawing approximately 300 watts. Any information in this area would be helpful. If you would like to reply "off-line" please direct your responses to me and I will pass them along. Thanks, Richard Payne Tektronix, Inc.
