I have got UL and a well known Canadian NRTL to accept reports to IEC60825-1 issued by NEMKO for Class I CD players. I have found what they are looking for is reliable data relating to laser emissions and plastics. Sometimes a comprehensive manufacturers data sheet is enough (sadly not often available).
