So, here's my dilemma. The problem I 've run into is that equations for distributed capacitance for an microstrip transmission line (plain and embedded) in a PWB found in a couple of references are such that they provide significantly different results. One reference even provides for a mathematical impossibility as a result, however, I am sure that this was a misprint. I do not have access to the applicable IPC spec, so I do not have access to these equations for distributed capacitance for a microstrip transmission line (plain and embedded) in a PWB. If anyone in the group knows the formula from the IPC spec or can look it up for me and send it my way, I would certainly be very grateful.
