Are you not familiar with the Manual Handling Regulations? If not, I
suggest you acquire a copy of the Approved Code Of Practice which
provides a good deal of guidance on this matter.
The MHR are UK legislation, and therefore they and the ACOP take
precedence over anything said in any standard.
