Dear all, Surge test is mentioned in the EN 50082-1/1992 standard, but only in the informative annex, so there truly is no surge requirements in the standard. In the annex surge test is mentioned for both DC input and output ports and for AC input and output ports. I guess that the surge test was only placed in the annex because the basic standard was not ready.
