Thomas et al,

As Thomas indicated, the database was found on the FCC's ftp site, however,
I had been directed to the ftp site already..

Thanks to all who have responded.

Ron,

A zipped version of the Part 68 registration database, containing
information on registrations going back to about 1989, can be accessed from
the FCC ftp site.

The ftp site can be accessed by the route of
http://www.fcc.gov/resources.html and at the left side of the page, under
Site Navigation, select "FTP Site" (and then you have to search around).

However, a more direct path to the ftp site and the zipped databases is:
ftp://ftp.fcc.gov/pub/XFS_AlphaTest/zipped

There are 3 Part 68 database formats to choose from at the listings at this
site:

cic.zip contains the main table
cictext.zip contains a pipe-delimited text format of the table.
cicdata.zip contains the table in Excel97 format (I've found this one
easier to use).

Note: The zipped database spans from about November 1999 back to around
1989, and so does not contain information of the registrations from the
past
few months. You can view the more recent Part 68 registrations at:
 http://www.fcc.gov/Common_Carrier/Public_Notices/Part68_Actions

Subject: FCC Part 68 Database

To all,

A while back, I had previously downloaded a database from the FCC Part 68
web site that contained information on all registrations ever issued. I've
wanted to download a more up to date version of it, however, I have been
unable to find it again, or it has been moved or been removed.

Does anyone have the current location details for this database or know if
it has been removed? Or, has the FCC introduced a searchable Part 68
registration database on their web site, similar to the one at:

http://strategis.ic.gc.ca/cgi-bin/reltel/search.pl?lang=e&db=tel

If any of you know of such a database available on the FCC web site, I, and
I'm sure others, would appreciate being directed to it.

Thanks and best regards,
Ron Pickard
