ICNIRP issued exposure guidelines in 1998. You can download the ICNIRP
Guidelines at http://www.icnirp.de/ <http://www.icnirp.de/> . The document
will answer many of your questions.

The EU Council has issued a Recommendation, 1999/519/EC, based upon the
ICNIRP limits for the general public. Some member states are presently
drafting legislation based upon the Recommendation and ICNIRP Guidelines -
Italy and Germany for example.

The NRPB of the UK has issued a statement with recommend limits - Volume 4,
No. 5 1993.

IEC TC85 is working on an exposure standard that includes inductive ovens.

SCC 28 of IEEE is drafting an exposure standard for below 3 kHz. IEEE C95.3
applies above 3 kHz.

        Subject: Is magnetic field harmful

        Hi! Everybody.

I need your technical comments on the issue regarding the Induction
cooker, it is using magnetic field to generate heat on the metallic
pan.

        The question is:

        1. Is there any requirement in Sweden or European countries or US
to
control the magnetic field strength? What's the limit? And the
impact to

the health. I believe there is at least one for I read it from the
news.

        2. Is it safe to use this appliance? Do SAR (Specific Absorption
rate) requirement apply to this product.

We are highly appreciate if you can send us some of these
information.

        Thanks and best regards,
        Alfred Lo.
