Dear all, I would like to ask you the following: §1.5.6 of IEC 60950 3rd ED - Capacitors in primary circuits states that: A capacitor connected between 2 lines conductors of the primary circuit, or between one line conductor and the neutral conductor, shall comply with IEC 60384-14, sub-class X1 or X2.
1) Does that mean that capacitors connected over the lines and after the main fuses have to comply with the requirements ? 2) If yes, have capacitors connected in series with other components (f.e. a resistance) to comply with the requirements too ? I appreciate any answer.
