My expertise deals primarily with high energy power conversion and measurement equipment. Now my company is looking into other areas and included in this is the need build into our equipment, a communication signal hub using RS232, Ethernet and USB devices to route analog (0-10V) and digital signals into a computer. I am on a learning curve with this and wondered, is anyone able to direct me to requirements or resources specifically for CE marking on a product like this? My interest lies not only in the emission and immunity issues but I am also interested in regulatory requirements for interface and data protocols. Additionally, I am a little concerned that any applicable communications requirements are not suitable for industrial environments.
