The IEC 571-1/90 is an outdated standard.
The standard valid now is IEC60571 that is nearly the same as the EN50155.
The IEC 571-1/90 surge testing was, altough not directly comparable,
much easier to live with (impedence 500 Ohm) than IEC 801-5.
The normal amplitude is 1800 V.
Even the new IEC60571 has only 100 Ohm impedence and provision for lower
imoidence under
agreement between user and manifacturer.
Sorry for my bad English!
