Ned is right, 3 layers of pre-preg are needed for separation of circuits
(hazardous to SELV, SELV to TNV, etc.) thru the board insulator to meet this
requirement under 950 - without Routine testing; Table 6A allows 2 layers of
prepreg but invokes Routine electric strength testing (every board
manufactured)...
But note, you must carefully specify the 3 layers of prepreg and know (a
QA term) that the board is being built that way -- as the board manufacturer
won't usually use 3 layers of prepreg in building boards... Now this board
becomes a special board in the manufacturing process -- and must be watched
(another QA term) to insure compliance...
So, for a 30 layer board, how many layers must have the 3 layers of
prepreg to meet the requirement?
