Product liability, hmmmm...... Actually I much prefer staying on the other side of the fence making sure that that products are safe to start with. However, I know that alone that will not prevent occasionally embarking into the liability arena (I liken it to a viper pit). Its a place to stay away from as much as possible. To provide you with an avenue for your pursuit, I would recommend that you consult with your corporate attorney(s). I am quite sure that they should be aware of the liability requirements as they pertain to your company's product(s). I hope this helps. Good luck on your quest.
